StrideDaily is an all-in-one liquid liposome nutrition supplement leading to enhanced health and wellbeing. Research shows that encapsulating vitamins and minerals with liposomes improves the overall bioavailability of the micronutrient. Bioavailability refers to how much of the active ingredient our bodies absorb and use.
A liposome is a sphere of phospholipid, suspended in a liquid medium, usually water. Phospholipids have both hydrophilic (water-loving) and hydrophobic (water-hating) regions, hence form spheres in water, with the hydrophilic groups facing outwards, towards the water and the hydrophobic groups facing inwards, away from the water.
When nutrients are swallowed, they must survive exposure to digestive enzymes and acids, bile salts and various gut flora before they can be metabolised by the liver and be used in the body. Liposomes encase nutrients like a shield while in transit around the body, protecting against these stresses in the stomach and intestine until they reach the intestine’s cell membrane.
